In Destiny 2 there are not only weapon exotics that every player uses, but also examples that some Guardians prefer to avoid. However, some weapons are unfairly treated this way. Therefore, today we have selected three cool builds featuring outsider exotic weapons that will surely leave your friends in awe.
Which exotics are we talking about? We looked at all weapon exotics and selected three candidates with which reasonable builds are currently possible. Our choice fell on the following guns:
- Tommy’s Matchbook (Solar Auto Rifle)
- Graviton Lance (Void Pulse Rifle)
- Lumina (Kinetic Hand Cannon)
Whether a weapon is good or bad is in the eye of the beholder. Generally, these three weapons are currently not meta guns that every player carries in their inventory.
They are rarely considered, as, in the eyes of the community, there are better alternatives to dominate enemies. However, we are showing you three builds this time that will provide you with variety and especially show that you can be powerful even without meta exotics.
3 Builds with Surprisingly Much Variety
These three builds consist of two Warlock builds and one Titan build. Since Hunters are always considered meta, they are excluded this time. Instead, we are giving the outsiders of the Guardian factions the stage.
The Burning Mafioso Titan
What kind of build is this? In this build, the Titan, in combination with Solar 3.0, the exotic helmet “Lorelei Splendor Helmet,” and the exotic auto rifle “Tommy’s Matchbook,” turns into a walking hail of bullets of annihilation.
This combination allows you to avoid death while dealing a large amount of damage since the “Tommy Gun” grants you additional damage through its combustion effect.
However, to compensate for the damage taken and to benefit from the bonus damage, we have chosen the following build.
What do you need for the build? Here we list all the items you need for the build:
- Exotics
- Helmet: Lorelei Splendor Helmet
- Weapon: Tommy’s Matchbook
- Focus – Solar
- Super: Hammer of Sol
- Abilities
- Shield-Barricade
- Phoenix Dive
- Throwing Hammer
- Healing Grenade
- Aspects
- Sol Invictus
- Roaring Flames
- Fragments
- Ember of Benevolence
- Ember of Torches
- Ember of Tempering
- Ember of Empyrean
- Armor Mods
- Solar Helmet: Solar Siphon, Source of Power
- Solar Arms: 2x Auto Rifle Loader, Life Source
- Arc Chest: Seeker Sources
- Void Legs: Just Better, Isolation, Resilience Source
- Void Class Item: Vow of the Fling, Flame Harvest (Artifact Mod), Relentless Source Creator
How does the build work? Set up your barricade and kill an enemy. With the mod “Relentless Source Creator,” you gain a Void element source upon kill, granting you increased damage resistance.
Then, kill enemies with your Matchbook and collect the Solar element sources. While your abilities are active, and you enjoy increased recovery, hit another enemy with your charged throwing hammer.
This grants you the “Radiant” effect, allowing you to deal even more damage to your enemies. Particularly handy is that due to the synergies of your abilities and mods, you can fire the entire magazine of Tommy without worrying about the negative combustion effect.
Next up is the explosive Warlock and their Graviton Lance on the next page.
