On December 9 at 1:30 AM German time, the Game Awards 2022 will take place. As usual, there will be some new trailers and announcements. We at MeinMMO will summarize what MMORPG fans should be looking forward to.
What kind of event is this? The Game Awards is an annual awards ceremony where the best games of the past year are announced. Additionally, there will be new trailers and game reveals every year that you shouldn’t miss.

What interesting news will there be? For fans of MMOs and MMORPGs, there are definitely three highlights this year:
- Blue Protocol will make an announcement at the event.
- The survival MMORPG Nightingale will share new information (via MMORPG.com).
- Airship Syndicate will present a new MMORPG developed in collaboration with Digital Extremes (Warframe) (via Twitter). It is called Soulframe.
Rumor has it that Diablo 4 will reveal a release date.
At such an event, there can always be unannounced surprises.

What can we expect from Blue Protocol? The anime MMORPG Blue Protocol focuses on PvE and story. There will be no PvP. This sets it apart significantly from the trend of recent years.
It is clear that Blue Protocol is set to be released in Japan in 2023. We have been waiting for precise information regarding the western release. However, that could change on December 9.

What can we expect from Nightingale? Nightingale is a new survival game for PC from former developers at BioWare. It is set in a Victorian fantasy world and focuses on PvE, exploration, crafting, and cooperative building.
The MMORPG was announced a year ago and could finally reveal a release date at the Game Awards.
What can we expect from Airship Syndicate? The developer studio announced their new MMORPG Soulframe last July. It is supposed to have an open world and focus heavily on nature and exploration. No further details have been provided so far.
Airship Syndicate is working closely with Digital Extremes on Soulframe. They have already released a very successful MMO with Warframe.
At the Game Awards, there could now be new information about the game contents and a first gameplay trailer.
News about Diablo 4 and Redfall?
Which games should you keep an eye on if you like online games? As mentioned above, there are rumors about Diablo 4. Blizzard has officially said nothing about the Game Awards, but the release date and pre-order are expected to be announced (via Insider Gaming).
Additionally, Bethesda is expected to share new information about the co-op shooter Redfall, which was announced last year and is set to be released in 2023.
In total, there are expected to be 30 to 40 new trailers. This was revealed by the host Geoff Keighley in a Q&A.
