What makes Project Nobody so (over-)ambitious? Project Nobody attempts a completely new approach to the MMO genre. Instead of starting as heroes, you are a nameless nobody.
The only way to become a “somebody” is to submit to another player and serve them. Whatever you earn goes half to the master, who in return protects you.
Project Nobody eliminates the classic “quest” system. You only complete tasks to gain a better social status in the vast, Spatial-OS generated world.
This makes us doubt the release of Project Nobody: Currently, there is only one developer known who is taking care of the project. Many details about the game still do not exist. No screenshots or other media either.
The game’s approach seems too high for such a minimalistic development team at this stage. Those who want to completely reinvent the MMO genre in this way cannot possibly succeed without more developers who have experience in the field.
Also the idea raises doubts. While it is an interesting foundation, the question remains whether players are even interested in being “nobody” who serves other players.
