This is why Chronicles of Elyria is so (over-)ambitious: Chronicles of Elyria is an upcoming MMORPG that is supposed to demand more from players than previous representatives of the genre. If you want to be a hero in Chronicles of Elyria, you must also perform heroic deeds that are correspondingly dangerous.
Several features make Chronicles of Elyria unique:
- You can die and have to pay to be able to re-enter
- Characters can age and die of old age
- Your character will continue to be played by the game while you are offline
- You will get fat if you eat too much
Players are currently shaping the development. They were able to vote on the appearance of the 4 worlds and participate in a special event. In the “Searing Plague” event, paying players played against non-paying players in a kind of competition.
This makes us doubt the release of Chronicles of Elyria: Chronicles of Elyria has been in development since 2015. A community event around a plague is among the most exciting developments for the MMORPG in 2018. However, there is still little known about the current state of the MMORPG.
The future of Chronicles of Elyria is uncertain. After the search for a publisher failed, developers had to be laid off and the miraculous technology SpatialOS was dropped..
