A young woman quit her marketing job. In the meantime, she earns 15,000 euros a month with flowers. She explained: When you are happy, the money comes on its own.
In a conversation with CNBC.com, the 29-year-old explained that she graduated from Syracuse University in 2017 and worked for three years in advertising and marketing companies in New York City.
She then became self-employed in 2020 and founded her own agency. However, the young woman was not satisfied with her work and her life situation. She stated:
I somehow lost the reason for what I was doing. I had moved to L.A. and something just didn’t work anymore. I had changed everything in my life except my agency.
A therapist then advised her to make a list of what she would expect from her job. And for her, the ideal job included:
- Using her hands at work.
- Being outdoors a lot.
- Working with people.
- And she would love to own an old pickup.
A week later, she then established her own mobile flower business, “Main Street Flower Truck,” and bought a pickup.
16,000 in a month and a good work-life balance
How successful is she? Since the launch in August 2023, the business has generated around 44,000 dollars in revenue, plus another 4,500 dollars in cash, estimates the owner. This equates to about 45,000 euros.
In May 2024 alone, the 29-year-old earned about 16,000 US dollars (around 15,000 euros) with her idea. She herself stated: “When you live with your happiness, the money will follow.”
