Call of Duty: Vanguard arrives in stores on November 5 and brings new gameplay elements. Among them are the perks – in English “perks”. MeinMMO shows you all known or leaked perks that will likely play a role not only in Vanguard but also in the Battle Royale Warzone.
What does the list show? Call of Duty has continuously expanded and refined its gameplay mechanics over many generations. Each title has interpreted or modified these mechanics differently. This is also true for the new Call of Duty: Vanguard.
There will be perks again as usual, in the colors blue, red, and yellow. However, the way the perks function and the extent to which they affect gameplay will differ this year compared to the predecessor.
Which perks will be available at the release of Vanguard is not yet finally determined. However, through the beta and some data mining, there is currently information on a total of 25 perks that are likely to be interesting not only for the new CoD but also for the Battle Royale Warzone. We will list the perks for you.
CoD Vanguard: Known perks from the beta
First, we will show you the known perks that are guaranteed to be in the game. The perks were already in use during the beta and are therefore “officially” confirmed. However, it is uncertain whether all perks in the list will be available at launch.
Perk 1 – Blue: Counter
- Ghost
- Protects against detection by reconnaissance when you are in motion
- Flak
- Reduces damage from explosives and speeds up your regeneration
- Unseen
- Immune to effects of “Piercing Vision”
- Survival Training
- Maximum resistance to stun, immune to gas
Perk 2 – Red: Recon
- Alarm
- If enemies see you outside your field of vision, you get a signal on the edge of the screen from that direction
- Radar
- Enemies appear on the mini-map when they shoot without a silencer
- Data Relay
- Larger mini-map, enemy reinforcements (e.g. killstreaks) are displayed
- Tracker
- Enemies leave brief footprints
Perk 3 – Yellow: Bonus & Equipment
- Demolition
- Additional primary grenade and predicted trajectory when throwing
- Fast Hands
- Doubles tactical sprint and lets you run 30% faster while crouching
- Tactician
- Returns a tactical grenade to the inventory every 30 seconds
- Overkill
- You can carry 2 primary weapons in the loadout
In the beta, another perk was found that was not usable: “Scavenger.” In earlier CoDs, you could collect ammunition or equipment from fallen enemies with this perk.
CoD Vanguard: Perks from leaks and data mining
Where does the information come from? The following perks are supposedly found in the game’s files according to data miners and have a chance of being included in the game. The information comes from “MW2 OG” (via Twitter@TheMW2Ghost) and “Alaix COD” (via Twitter@HeyImAlaix)
MW2 OG emphasizes, however, that he is not sure about all perks whether they will actually be included as perks in the game. Some of them could also be field upgrades. These are time-limited bonuses with a cooldown that you can use in the match. Some of the description texts also appear to be incomplete.
Since this is a leak from data mining, take the information with a grain of skepticism. Whether or how the perks will be included in the game is completely unclear.
- Informed
- Select an additional perk from the “Recon” category
- Command
- Select an additional killstreak
- Activ Reload
- Faster reloading when you press the reload button at the right moment
- Coldblooded
- Computer-controlled killstreaks cannot target you, player-controlled killstreaks cannot mark you. You do not trigger the “Alarm” perk.
- Serpentine
- Sprinting reduces your incoming damage
- Reaper
- Kills with killstreaks count toward your streaks. Supply drops have a higher chance of better killstreaks. Recon killstreaks last 50% longer and player-controlled killstreaks have 50% more health.
- Lightweight
- Increases your movement speed, but intensifies the effect of suppression (De-Buff that slows you down)
- Piercing Vision
- If you suppress a target, it is marked for a short time, making it visible through walls for a moment.
- Dauntless
- Immune to suppression, but slightly lower movement speed
- Clandestine
- Eliminated enemies drop a reconnaissance package that briefly reveals nearby enemies. The reconnaissance effect also occurs after each respawn.
- Brawler
- If you have a melee weapon equipped, your speed increases, the range for melee weapons increases, and your health regeneration starts immediately after each kill.
- Operator
- You can carry 2 weapons, switch weapons faster, and can sprint while reloading.

What else is there to know? The leaker MW2 OG surmises that the seasons of Vanguard will bring new perks to the game. This is not common so far, but has happened before. Warzone received 2 new perks at the start of Season 5, one of which, Combat Scout, is quite similar to the leaked perk “Piercing Vision.” Both mark enemies that you can then see briefly through walls.
Vanguard could therefore start with a basic selection of perks and add one or more new perks with each season.
The found perk “Operator” also sounds like an upgraded version of “Overkill.” However, the leaker cannot properly classify this find. He currently rules out that “Pro Perks” will come, which would mean unlockable upgrades for perks.
What does all this have to do with Warzone? The battle royale serves as a link between the annual titles and for example, the story of the current Black Ops: Cold War also has an impact on Warzone and vice versa.
While Cold War “only” brought the small map “Rebirth Island” to Warzone and a redesign of the Verdansk map, Warzone is completely changing with Vanguard.
Warzone is getting a large new map, anti-cheat for PC, and even the polished graphics engine from Vanguard. The developers stated that they want to bring the experience from multiplayer to Warzone. This could mean that the entire class creation system, including the new perks, will come to Warzone.
However, the complete details are still unknown. However, it is already known that you can level the battle pass in several CoDs and also increase the level progress of your account in 4 CoDs: CoD MW, Cold War, Vanguard, and Warzone.
