Red Dead Online, the multiplayer mode of Red Dead Redemption 2, has recently received new content again. In addition to new early-access content for PS4 players, there are new missions available to everyone, where you encounter familiar characters from the single-player.
What is it about? With the latest update for Red Dead Online on May 21, Rockstar added new free-roam missions to the multiplayer mode. Players will encounter two well-known characters that are already familiar from the single-player mode.
Sadie Adler can be found at her ranch near Ambarino. The gunslinger Black Belle, on the other hand, is waiting for you in Lemoyne.
Who are the characters? Sadie Adler is a popular character from the campaign of Red Dead Redemption 2. You find Sadie at the beginning of the game, where she joins the gang of Dutch van der Linde.
You should track down and interview Black Belle for a mission in Red Dead Redemption 2. The bandit queen Belle Starr likely served as an inspiration for Black Belle in Red Dead Redemption 2. Myra Maybelle Shirley, as Belle Starr was actually named, was a famous bandit queen whose adventures have been embellished in numerous books and films.
What other content is there? In addition to the new missions, there are several new contents for PS4 players. This content is coming first to Sony’s console, but will later be available for Xbox One as well.
Among other things, there is the Ancient Tomahawk, which comes directly with the new Showdown mode Make It Count: Ancient Tomahawk. Additionally, the Showdown mode Last Stand is introduced, along with the new horse Hellisabell-Andalusian, as well as new horse gear, clothing, and emotes.
What do the players say? Players in the RDR2 subreddit are excited that Red Dead Online is moving away from PvP content towards more PvE. According to one player, RDO should have been this way from the start: an RPG focused on PvE with an optional PvP experience.
On the negative side, it is noted that missions still seem to be buggy. Multiple players report that they are unable to accept missions or that quests do not start when they have been received.
