Fortnite in China has 2 major differences from our Fortnite. A streamer is surprised about it and talks about the rules in his stream.
What are the 2 rules? The differences between the Chinese version and the known Fortnite are significant. Normally, you win a match if you are the last player standing on the battlefield. However, in China, there is another way to win a match for yourself. Additionally, after 3 hours of gameplay, a notification and restrictions appear.

How do you win a game? In the Chinese version of Fortnite, you can win a game in two ways.
The first option is exactly the same as we know it: The last player on the battlefield wins.
However, there is another method to win: Whoever gets many kills can immediately claim their victory rewards. When a player eliminates many opponents, a notification appears that says: “Congratulations, you are the best player in this match. Do you want to exit and receive the same reward as for a win?”
This way, other players in the match have the chance to win, and those who achieve many eliminations will still be rewarded. Even in the game mode Life Theft, aggressive gameplay was rewarded, and many players set kill records.

What restrictions occur after 3 hours of gameplay? If you want to play longer than 3 hours in China, you have to expect restrictions.
The collection of experience points is reduced to 50%. If you want to do challenges, you have to wait, because after 3 hours all challenges are locked. Additionally, you are advised to take a break, do your homework, or study a little for school.
According to Vice, a representative from Epic Games confirmed that these rules were established to comply with China’s legal system.
Why are there these rules? China has implemented rules in gaming that aim to reduce addiction risk among young players. This aligns well with the fact that after 3 hours, you have to expect restrictions in Fortnite.
