CoD Vanguard: Bren Setup Without Mercy
What does the setup look like? You achieve the high damage and excellent recoil control from the combination of 3 components:
- Set the Bren to single fire in the match
- Equip the first barrel (Iron Shield or Oak & Shield)
- Use a .50 BMG magazine

What makes the setup strong? The little trick of switching to single fire mode transforms the rattling weapon with high recoil into a tamed device that requires a lot of patience. After one shot, the Bren quickly returns to its original position.
Together with the 2-shot kills, the LMG performs fabulously at long distances, and the Bren maintains its damage with our setup up to nearly 65 meters.
If you also grab the “Hollow Point ammunition”, it doesn’t matter where the two hits land on the enemy. Even toe hits will send your enemies into respawn.
What is not so strong? Since you are saving attachments for recoil reduction, the sprint-to-fire speed can be reduced to a comfortable level – at least for an LMG.
However, this does not apply to your optic speed, which makes the Bren still feel a bit sluggish.
CoD: Vanguard has been on the market for nearly 2 months and still has many strong weapon options that do not contribute to a fair balance in the game.
The generally low time-to-kill obscures the problem a bit. However, experienced players will always have an advantage if they know the strongest options and save another bullet for a kill. If you are not specifically leveling your weapons, you should currently always go for one of the OP options.
