In FIFA 22 the Weekend League is finally worthwhile again and FUT players should urgently get back in. Everything you need to know about the changes in FUT Champions can be found here.
The problem with the Weekend League was: Normally, the Weekend League rewards included various packs and coins that could be earned through good performance in the playoffs and finals. Winning more often means ranking up and receiving better rewards.
These rewards also include the red Player Picks, from which you typically get a selection of players from the current TOTW . Recently, however, the problem was that the TOTW could hardly keep up with the many special cards in FIFA 22. Therefore, the rewards from the Weekend League sometimes felt weaker than they should have been.
Now, however, the TOTS has finally started in FUT 22. This significantly improves the Weekend League rewards. Especially in the finals, there are now impressive rewards.
The rewards can be really amazing
This is how the TOTS changes the rewards: Instead of TOTW players, the upcoming Weekend League rewards will feature the current Team-of-the-Season cards. So if you reach a sufficiently high rank in the Champions Finals, you can look forward to Player Picks with TOTS cards, some of which have extremely high ratings.
Since the TOTS teams change weekly, there will also be different rewards every week. The distribution of Player Picks across ranks is as follows:
- Starting from Rank X, there will already be TOTS cards replacing the TOTW cards. There will be Player Picks with cards from both current “Teams of the Season”, which currently include cards from the Eredivise TOTS and Community TOTS.
- From Rank VI, Player Picks will only contain TOTS cards from the stronger team.
- For the higher ranks, there are more Player Picks with more TOTS cards available.
- Rank 1 offers 3 Player Picks with 5 TOTS cards each.
You have more time and thus less stress
Normally, the FUT Champions Finals ran from Friday at 09:00 to Monday at 09:00, giving players 3 days to complete their 20 final matches. EA has now changed this and significantly extended the Weekend League.
The new start time is Fridays at 21:00, and the new end time is now Wednesdays at 09:00, giving you 2 more days to play all the matches. This is a big advantage as it allows players to tackle the games much more relaxed and also take longer breaks after a loss.
What do you think of the changes in the Weekend League? Will you be playing FUT Champions Finals again? Feel free to let us know in the comments!
