Is World of Warcraft Classic now a true hit and a lasting phenomenon? Or has the interest in the “old” version of Azeroth faded away?
It has been a little over two months since Blizzard fulfilled the players’ long-standing wish and released the “Classic” version of World of Warcraft. Although the initial rush has subsided, there are still signs that interest remains, as:
- There are still queues on some realms during peak times
- Some realms are still “Layered”, meaning they are still extremely populated
- Blizzard still occasionally opens new realms, like recently the German RP realm Celebras
New content has already come, more is coming soon: Blizzard has even listened to the demands of content-hungry fans and activated part of “Phase 2” ahead of time. For several weeks now, players can explore the dungeons of Düsterbruch and complete various questlines.
Paladins and Warlocks are working on their epic mounts, while Mages can finally create the best possible water. More content will follow with the launch of Phase 2, which is expected to take place “later this year”.
How much fun are you still having after 2 months in WoW Classic?
But despite all these positive updates, we want to know how the interest in World of Warcraft Classic looks within our community. Are you still actively playing? Are you still having as much fun as at the beginning? Or have you turned your back on Classic and returned to Retail WoW (or another game)?
