In Destiny 2 the Guardian Games will soon start where all Guardian classes will compete against each other. For glory and especially for the title of the best class, Guardians will go all out and support their class. However, since the Guardian Games have hardly changed over the years, we will show you 2 reasons why you should participate.
When do the Guardian Games start? The Guardian Games 2022 will start on May 3, 2022, as usual after the reset at 7 PM. Eva Levante, the organizer and loot giver, will support you at the start as well as during the Guardian Games and will equip you with enough tasks.
However, since the Guardian Games are held by Bungie for a while now without major changes, some Guardians avoid this event. To not stay completely away, we will show you two important reasons that might motivate you to participate and support your class.
2 important reasons to participate
What makes the Guardian Games so boring? Bungie sends the Guardians into different activities where they should farm medals. They must submit these at the altar in the Tower to collect points for their class. Each day, a class will be stamped as the winner of the day.
The class that has won the most days ultimately wins the Guardian Games. However, the problem is that no special activity has been added. Players only need to wear a selected class item while farming activities.
This feels aimless and boring to many players, which is why little effort is made for the Guardian Games. Nevertheless, there are two reasons why you should participate.
Get your Godroll “The Title” – best void SMG in the game
To give Guardians an incentive to participate in the Guardian Games, a new weapon has been forged.
“The Title” is supposed to outshine the popular funnel net with its stats and its origin perk, thus placing itself as the best void SMG in the future. However, you can only earn the new weapon during the Guardian Games 2022. So if you are looking for a strong alternative for your arsenal, “The Title” would be a good option.
Rare emblem for dedicated Guardians
What kind of emblem is this? This is an emblem for the best. It is only granted to 10% of the Guardians, namely those who contributed the most to the Guardian Games. So if you want to flaunt one of the rarest emblems in front of your Guardian friends, you will find it here.
How do you get the emblem? To obtain the emblem, you must participate in the so-called “Competitive Strikes”. In this playlist, the most points count. Players who manage to achieve the highest score in all three weeks of the Guardian Games 2022 have a higher chance of obtaining the emblem.
There will be two Guardian Games playlists: Training and Competition. So it is also important when you play.
- On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, the training playlist is on. Here you can collect training points (the combined score of your entire fireteam).
- On Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, it is time to sweat in the competition playlist. Here you will receive additional rewards.
- Players can also earn buffs in the playlists “Casual”, “Training”, and “Competition” by achieving bronze, silver, gold, or platinum. These last until the next weekly reset.
- And you can use these buffs in the regular Vanguard Ops playlist.
Only your highest scores of the individual weeks will be added up. So farming the activity does not benefit you. Only your best score of the week counts. If you qualify for the emblem, you will unlock a triumph and the emblem will belong to you.
Of course, there will be armor glowing again: Igniting the bronze, silver, gold, and platinum torches that stand on the Tower during the event grants rewards and a glow visible on the right shoulder of a Guardian’s armor.
How long do the Guardian Games last? You have three weeks for the Guardian Games. The Guardian Games will take place from May 3 to May 24, 2022. So if any of the reasons motivate you to participate, do not miss a week. Because when the event ends, you will have no chance to obtain the event-specific items and the weapon.
