The highlights of the week:
- As part of gamescom 2021, New World announced its Open Beta. This will take place at the beginning of September and allows you to try the game without needing to pre-order it.
- Also starting in September, the hardcore MMORPG Mortal Online 2 will enter beta.
In September, you can also look forward to 2 major MMORPG releases:
- On September 28, New World will finally be released.
- On September 29 – just one day later – Elyon will be released.

This week in the major MMORPGs:
- WoW pulls the emergency brake and introduces some changes with the upcoming Patch 9.1.5 that players have been demanding since the release of Shadowlands, but which have been ignored until now. Additionally, a crazy player managed to complete Torghast at level 12 and in “Flawless” in under 4 minutes.
- ESO has released the new DLC Waking Flame. MeinMMO editor Jürgen Horn has played it and complains about disgusting crawly creatures.
