In Star Wars: Battlefront 2, a huge update is waiting for you! 19 months after the game was released, various new features will come to you this month.
What is waiting for you? The developers announced a huge update, which will include, among other things, Droidekas. The rolling droids have been a long-standing wish of the community and are finally coming to the game after 1.5 years.
Along with the new droids, many other features will come to the game, such as a new map. We give you an overview.
What’s in the huge update of Battlefront 2
When will the update be released? On June 26, it will be time. From then on, you can admire the numerous new features in the game.
What’s all included? In a long post in the Battlefront forum, the developers explain the innovations in the upcoming update. We show you the highlights:
- The rolling droids Droidekas are coming and reinforcing the battle droid side
- Naboo comes as a new map where you can play the game mode “Total Domination”
- The TX-130 comes as a new tank that is also good in defense
- Anakin Skywalker gets a new outfit, which is known from the Clone Wars series
What players are most excited about: With the Droidekas, a true fan wish comes to the game. They can evolve into 3 different forms.
One is the wheel form, allowing for rapid movement, and the other is the turret form, where they can fire with two cannons simultaneously. This is rounded off with an energy shield that can be formed around them. This shield can block shots from enemies.
What’s next? EA also provided a glimpse into the future of Battlefront. A new planet, Felucia, is expected to be added later this year. New locations will be waiting for you there.
In August, there will be more information about a new type of battles. These are said to differ from traditional PvP experiences, EA explains. What exactly will be coming is still unknown.
