Fibi “Fibii” Pfeiffer rose to become one of the biggest streamers on German Twitch at the age of 16. Now the streamer is 18 and is allowed to drive. However, due to her driving style, there is currently trouble.
What is Fibii accused of? On Reddit, a user complained on July 16, 2024, about an IRL stream by Fibii in which the streamer was driving her car. “Hairy-Relation109” criticized that the 18-year-old seemed to be distracted while driving.
She was reportedly driving at 170 km/h in the left lane, moving happily to the music at the wheel while simultaneously answering questions from her chat. The user finds this “absolutely irresponsible from both a general traffic perspective and as a role model for her young viewers.”
Viewers find driving behavior irresponsible
How is the community reacting? On Reddit, users are debating whether Fibii’s shown behavior is legal or not. There is more agreement on the finding that the action is “absolutely irresponsible.” In particular, the fact that Fibii is still a novice driver has upset some (via Reddit).
Some Reddit users have obtained the VoD, which is no longer available on Fibii’s channel, and are searching for significant excerpts. If someone were to send this to the police, “the license” would be gone for the time being, they say (via Reddit).
Interestingly, Fibii even talks about traffic violations in a clip. She explains that one does not look cool just because one drives fast. She is glad to have received this lesson now. Apparently, the streamer was already driving too fast and now has to wait to see what will come of it. She speaks of a refresher course, license revocation, or the possibility of “buying herself out.”
Whether Fibii faces legal consequences for her driving behavior remains to be seen. Perhaps there will be tips from her Twitch colleague MontanaBlack: He recently reported a dangerous near-accident, community mocks: Best argument for speed limits.
But there may also be trouble from the streaming platform.
How does Twitch see this? The streaming platform has strict guidelines regarding what may be shown. The Community Guidelines stipulate that any type of content that glorifies or promotes self-harming behavior is prohibited.
This explicitly includes “dangerous or distracted driving, including the use of a cellphone while driving.” Violations of these rules can lead to removal of the respective content, a warning, or even a ban. Viewers demand a ban on a streamer after a clip goes viral: Twitch capitulates and bans him
