EverQuest II is one of the oldest active MMORPGs that you can still play. With ‘Renewal of Ro’, the latest expansion has been launched. For the most expensive edition, you have to pay 250 euros.
Which MMORPG is it about? Everquest II is one of the oldest games in the genre. Everquest I was released in 1999, and a few years later, in 2004, the sequel EverQuest II was released. Everquest II is one of the ancient MMORPGs that are still actively played today.
Since 2004, 17 expansions and 4 adventure packs have been released for the MMORPG. With ‘Renewal of Ro’, another expansion has now been released, which started on November 30, 2022. It follows a buy-to-play model: those who want to play the expansion must purchase it from the shop.
The lead designer behind EverQuest is currently working on a new project. He believes he must bring back the old-school MMORPG feel:
EverQuest II presents the ‘Renewal of Ro’ expansion, charging up to 250 euros
What is it about? Players in the new expansion visit the namesake island of Ro and explore the southern half of the Burning Desert. Here you will encounter hizit nomads who will assist you in exploring the Raj’Dur Plateau. New quests, new ascension levels, and content such as raids are included.
What does the expansion cost? There are a total of 4 different tiers that you can purchase:
- The Standard Edition for 34.99 euros, which includes not only the expansion but also an additional level boost.
- The Collector’s Edition for 69.99 euros. This also includes companions, a mount, and other accessories.
- The Premium Edition for 139.99 euros. Here, additional benefits are included with those of the previous edition.
- The ‘Family & Friends’ Edition for 249.99 euros. This contains numerous tradable items such as character slots, level boosts, and more.
Do you need the most expensive edition? No, because the most expensive edition contains mainly many bonuses that you do not need for the game. Additionally, the expansion itself is included twice and can be given to another player.
If you predominantly play EverQuest II alone, the most expensive edition may be of little interest to you.
The Collector’s Edition of WoW costs “only” 129 euros
What about the Collector’s Edition of WoW? The CE of WoW: Dragonflight currently costs 129 euros and also offers a whole range of content for purchasers. In addition to the digital items, there are even a few physical items:
- World of Warcraft Dragonflight Epic Edition game key
- The Art of Dragonflight – Bound Artbook
- Mousepad: Alexstrasza
- Dragonflight five-pin collector set
- Game content of the Epic Edition
- A character upgrade for Dragonflight
- Wings of Awakening
- Mount: Enshrouded Dreamweaver
- Pet: Murkastrasza & Pet: Drakks
- Crown of the Spellkeeper
- Rest stone of the time wanderer
- 30 days of gameplay
Here you get many nice bonuses, which are also not required if you want to play Dragonflight.
If you are now tempted to get the Collector’s Edition, you can currently win a CE of Dragonflight together with MeinMMO.
