At the “WeGame Tonight 2024” event by Tencent, a new, spectacular trailer for Black Myth: Wukong was revealed, which will be released, among others, on Steam. Additionally, some exciting details about the action RPG from Game Science have surfaced.
What new details have come to light about Black Myth: Wukong? The well-known leaker Lunatic Ignus, who has accurately predicted several things in the past, shared the following information via X:
- The action RPG from Game Science is said to have a “New Game+” mode at launch.
- Black Myth: Wukong is expected to have multiple possible endings.
- You can expect more than 160 types of enemies and over 80 bosses.
- The difficulty level is expected to be slightly below that of other games that follow in the footsteps of Dark Souls and similar titles.
The leaker also announced that global pre-orders are likely to start during the “Summer Game Fests” (from June 7, 2024), possibly accompanied by a new CGI trailer that the developers are currently working on.

The few scenes again prove why Black Myth: Wukong has made it to the MeinMMO list of five games that surprise with impressive graphics. We can only hope that the action RPG will not only look good but also perform well – many other Unreal Engine 5 titles have had significant issues with that.

What else do I need to know about Black Myth: Wukong? The action RPG will be released on August 20, 2024, for Steam, the Epic Games Store, PS5, and Xbox Series. It will feature a Buy2Play payment model. Paid DLCs may follow after launch.
Black Myth: Wukong is based on the Chinese novel “Journey to the West” and you play as the famous Monkey King. He uses various staff techniques, as well as spells, transformations, and magical vessels in combat.
