11. Take over gyms and collect PokéCoins
What are these coins? The PokéCoins are the in-game currency of Pokémon GO. With this, you can purchase various items in the in-game shop, as well as obtain upgrades for your bag, item bag, or postcard book.
How to earn coins? To collect coins in-game, you need to take gyms with your team color and place your Pokémon in them. For every full 10 minutes that you stay in a gym, you will receive one coin, allowing you to earn a maximum of 50 coins per day.
However, you will only receive these once your Pokémon leaves the gym. So, if you do not get kicked out of the gym for several days, you will only receive them on the day your Pokémon returns. To avoid being kicked out of the gym right away, it is worth relying on one of the best gym defenders in Pokémon GO.
12. Complete raids and focus on the right attackers
What are raids? Throughout the day, various raids take place in gyms where you can challenge Pokémon called raid bosses at different difficulty levels. Among other things, you have the chance to secure legendary monsters in level 5 raids or collect mega energy in mega raids.
What should you consider? While you can easily complete 1-star raids even at a low level, the more difficult raids can only be achieved with the support of other players. Whether you play alone or in a group, you should focus on the right attackers here. Use the weaknesses of the respective raid boss.
13. Level up your trainer correctly
How to increase your level? For many trainers, it’s important to level up as quickly as possible. You do this by collecting a lot of experience points. After all, nothing else is needed until level 40. You earn these in various situations, such as catching Pokémon, spinning stops and gyms, or winning raids.
To increase your yield, you can also use lucky eggs. These double all experience points you collect in half an hour. This is especially worthwhile when you reach a friendship level up with friends. Collect them for this purpose so you don’t waste lucky eggs.
What you should pay attention to: As tempting as a quick level up is, you should still not level up too quickly. Otherwise, you may ultimately have a high level but lack decent attackers for raids or PvP battles.
14. Use tricks for evolving Eevee
What is special about Eevee? The normal Pokémon from the first generation has a total of 8 evolutions. To get the desired monster, you should use the various tricks available for Eevee.
This way, you can use lure modules depending on the evolution, walk it as a buddy, or use name tricks. However, the latter can only be used once, so the use should be well thought out and especially should only be used for shinies or hundos.
15. Use research & events
Why is this worthwhile? During certain events, you can benefit from special spawns and bonuses. This offers you a good opportunity to fill your PokéDex with monsters that are not often found. And the bonuses are usually helpful to progress in the game. For instance, these often provide you with extra candies, more stardust, or additional EP.
Often, you also receive special research in this context, such as limited research and special research, through which you can also earn stardust and EP.
Combine it with items: It is advisable to combine such bonuses or high rewards from research with items like star pieces or lucky eggs. This way, your yield of stardust or EP will also increase for half an hour.
