In an interview, a producer of Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga mentioned that filming an action sequence took a whole 78 days – even though it lasts only 15 minutes in the movie.
With Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, director George Miller shines a light on the backstory of the iconic character from the previous Mad Max films.
Played by Anya Taylor-Joy, Furiosa tries to return home and escape the horde of Warlord Dementus (played by Chris Hemsworth) while a power struggle is raging.
Particularly much effort was invested in one scene, as producer Doug Mitchell shared in an interview with Total Film.

“It is the longest sequence we have ever shot”
According to Doug Mitchell, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga has a 15-minute film sequence that required the team a total of 78 shooting days. In addition, around 200 stunt performers were involved daily to realize the scene.
During the production, the film segment was dubbed “The Stairway to Nowhere” and represents an important moment for the character Furiosa, in which her entire character with all its facets as well as her abilities are presented.
Furiosa actress Anya Taylor-Joy also commented on this important film moment and said:
George and I often talked about why this particular set piece was so long. This is because, in the course of a fight, you see a buildup of skills, and that is very important to understand how resourceful Furiosa is, but also to show her courage.

As she further recounted, there was a special reward at the end, once the scene was finally wrapped: “It is the longest sequence we have ever shot. On the day we finished, everyone received a ‘Stairway To Nowhere’ wine!”
What exactly happens in the scene has not been revealed in the interview.
