This is Redfall: In Redfall, you play a shooter with a co-op focus, developed by Arkane. After a vampire plague ravages the city of Redfall, you become one of the four remaining survivors with superhuman abilities and try to restore order in the city.
You have the choice between crypto-zoologist Devinder Crousley, telekinetic student Layla Ellison, combat engineer Remi de la Rosa, and supernatural sniper Jacob Boyer.
Each of them comes equipped with unique weapons, abilities, and traits, but they can only triumph together, making it all the more important that your friends are ready to go hunt vampires with you.
However, it’s not just vampire enemies; a handful of humans are also conspiring against you and seem eager to be your foes. But you’ll learn more about that in the game.
This is how co-op works: Similar to Darktide, there’s not much more to add here. Redfall is made for co-op, and the entire game concept only truly works when you can play it with friends.
There is a single-player mode where NPC companions are provided if three friends cannot be found.
Whether there are limitations regarding character classes or whether the hunt for loot takes center stage is still unknown.
What do we expect? So far, relatively little is known about the co-op shooter Redfall, but the expectations are high nevertheless.
- Since the developer team Arkane is also behind titles like Wolfenstein and Prey, we expect good weapon handling from Redfall
- An exciting story that is told with a lot of humor
- Vampires and shooting, but with little to no horror aspects
- Interesting battles due to the specific abilities of the various characters
When can you play? Unfortunately, Bethesda has not yet revealed a specific date for Redfall. The game is set for a summer 2022 release and will be exclusively available for PC and Xbox Series consoles.
A release in Game Pass is quite possible, since Bethesda was purchased by Microsoft some time ago. However, this has not been confirmed yet, nor the possible crossplay aspect of Redfall.
Saints Row

This is Saints Row: In Saints Row, you’ll find a remake of the series known for its craziness. After we were thrust into the Matrix and outer space in Saints Row 4 and literally to hell in Gat out of Hell – where should we go next?
Right, back to Mexico. For the new Saints Row takes place there and introduces new, yet equally crazy characters. As you know from Saints Row, it is your task to form a gang and take over the city. You are, after all, primarily one thing: cool.
Expect much quirky humor, crazy weapons and stunts, and strange yet lovable characters who will guide you through the story and the open world. Saints Row, however, remains completely absurd, ensuring it does not have to compete with genre representatives like GTA or Mafia.
This is how co-op works: Saints Row remains primarily a single-player title, but as you are used to from previous installments, you can invite a friend or join one.
Together, you can experience the story or simply cruise through the open world of Saints Row and do crazy things. However, only the host of the game progresses in the story, while the player collects only experience, money, and items.
What do we expect? About what we’re used to from the Saints Row franchise – and that’s usually pretty crazy.
- Wacky humor that truly knows no bounds and does not shy away from launching you to Mars or into hell
- Completely bizarre weapons, from the dubstep gun to purple dildo baseball bats
- An open world filled with side quests and events
- The feeling of being a gangster controlling an entire city
When can you play? After a delay, the new Saints Row is now set to be released on August 23, 2022, on all platforms. The game was initially planned for February, but has since been postponed by six months.
Whether there will be a crossplay functionality is still unknown at this time.
Wizard with a Gun

This is Wizard with a Gun: The game with the quirky name is primarily a sandbox survival game that you can experience alone or also together with your friends.
Your task is to survive in the magical world without burning down your home tower.
To do this, you rely not only on magic but also on the titular guns with which you can shoot your way through the world. This world consists of randomly generated biomes and always offers you new content.
The focus of the game should be on exploration and discovery, not only of new areas but also of new spells and new recipes to further enhance your wizard with gun.
This is how co-op works: In Wizards with a Gun, the co-op experience is not distinct from the single-player experience. The only new aspect is that you must survive together.
However, surviving together with friends is significantly easier and more fun.
What do we expect? There is still not much information available about the game from Devolver Digital. As is customary with the publisher, you can expect a good dose of humor.
