In Destiny 2, you should help decide which exotic weapons will receive new ornaments. Because for Guardians, not only combat power matters, but also appearance. We show you all 12 options and how to participate in the voting.
This is what you should decide: Bungie wants to give some exotic weapons a new look. However, the Destiny developer can’t quite decide which of the 12 Exotics needs a fresh ornament the most. This is where you, the Guardians, come into play.
You can vote and thus help decide which 3 Exotics will be able to go into battle with a new ornament in the future. It is already known that Guardians not only want to be strong but also want to look good while slaying aliens. Fortunately, real transmog is already coming from May 2021.
MeinMMO presents all 12 available Exotics, explains how the voting works, and shows you all the eligible weapons with their standard appearances.
If you just change the color or pattern of your gear, you, as a Guardian, use a “shader”. Both ornaments and shaders are almost always just cosmetic (Some weapons benefit from the alternative appearance).
These weapons are available for selection:
- Crimson (Crimson)
- Fighting Lion (Fighting Lion)
- Graviton Lance (Graviton Lance)
- Le Monarque (Le Monarque)
- Merciless (Merciless)
- Riskrunner (Riskrunner)
- Skyburner’s Oath (Skyburner’s Oath)
- Sunshot (Sunshot)
- Sweet Business (Sweet Business)
- Telesto (Telesto)
- Trinity Ghoul (Trinity Ghoul)
- Vigilance Wing (Vigilance Wing)
When will the new skins be available? Bungie reported that they are still in the early development phase with the exotic ornaments (via Bungie.net). Guardians should expect the 3 winners of the voting in early 2022.
Which Exotic needs a new ornament in Destiny 2?
This is how you vote: Simply follow the link embedded below. You can only participate once, but currently, there is no date for when the survey closes.
Here is the link to the survey (via surveymonkey.com). The link takes you to a survey from surveymonkey.com.
- Question 1: You should choose which class is your main.
- Question 2: You should type in which weapon you prefer to play with – it doesn’t have to be an Exotic (what you write here ultimately doesn’t matter, even gibberish is okay).
- For Question 3, you then select up to 3 options from the 12 mentioned Exotics. Since the survey is in English, we have provided the English names in parentheses above.
While some Exotics on the list already have 3 ornaments, the poisonous bow Le Monarque is still completely without an alternative look. You can change that now or do you prefer even more options for Sunshot or Crimson – somehow hand cannons always seem to get a special treatment in Destiny 2.
