The superhero MMO DC Universe Online now delivers more Free2Play content and you get all episodes of the game for free. This also applies to the latest episode 41: House of Legends.
This is now free: With the major summer update, there were several changes to the Free2Play area of DC Universe Online. Players can now play all 41 episodes of the game for free without a subscription, as announced in the spring. This also includes the latest episode number 41 titled “House of Legends.”
In spring, the developers released an episode of DC Universe Online for free as a test. Based on this experience, it was decided to make all other DLCs free as well. In a statement, it was said:
The experiments showed us many good reasons to bring more players into the new content without barriers. So we will keep it this way.
Thanks to a revision of the various sub-levels, Free2Play players also receive additional benefits. These are intended to make it easier for FTP players to get into the game:
- The daily free “Doctor Fates” login rewards. This allows players to earn rewards worth about €20
- Full access to the housing and utility belt systems (a bonus item for trinkets)
- The maximum amount that an FTP player can have has been increased from 2,000 to 50,000
- 7 additional inventory slots
As compensation, the premium and member ranks received their own bonuses, including even higher cash limits and more inventory slots.
This is House of Legends: In the latest DLC, all heroes and villains are summoned by the Monitor into the House of Legends. It is a new player hub that can be used by both factions together. The house is located in a rift between worlds, from where the Multiverse of the game is monitored.
Why exactly you have been summoned to the House of Legends is not entirely clear. But the goal is initially to train together with all other heroes and villains to stop a mysterious threat that is haunting the Multiverse.
A completely new system is also being introduced: the Allies. These are allies like Cyborg or Flash, who will accompany you into battle and can be leveled up by you.
When is the content available? All episodes have been playable for free since August 25, which means you can jump right into DC Universe Online and try them out. This also applies to episode 41: House of Legends.
