Two Weapons
In Monster Hunter World (and all previous installments), you could only carry one weapon and had to return to a box if you wanted to switch it. However, in Monster Hunter Wilds, you can now take a second weapon with you on hunts and switch it on the fly. The Saikrii carries a holster in its saddlebag where you can stow an additional weapon. It doesn’t matter if you take two of the same weapon or completely different ones.
This lets you unleash your creativity and experiment with which combination makes the most sense for you. The community has already had some exciting ideas about what can be done with this feature: Players love a new feature in Monster Hunter Wilds but wonder: What is it actually good for?
Clearer Wound System with Focus Mode
In addition to the new ability to carry two weapons, the manner in which you can wound monsters has also been revised. In Monster Hunter World, you could bruise monsters by repeatedly dealing a certain amount of damage to specific areas. In Monster Hunter Wilds, you can hit wounds more easily and better see if you can cause higher damage there.
With the new focus mode, you can visually highlight whether you have attacked a spot enough times to break the wound and cause increased damage – either by hitting it even more frequently or performing a special attack.
The new focus mode also helps you position yourself better and aim your attacks more easily to hit the desired spots.
Portable Kitchen
While you could have a group of Palicos cook for you in Monster Hunter World, in Monster Hunter Wilds, you mainly rely on your portable grill. However, you can cook wherever you like.
Whether in a sandstorm in the Windebene or in pouring rain in Karminwald under a tree: You can cook your meals and take them as you please.
Unisex Armor
True hunters know: The real endgame consists of hunting for the best and most beautiful outfit! Therefore, it’s all the better that the restrictions on armor based on the character’s gender have been lifted.
Now you can have fun and mix all available armor pieces as you like to create the perfect outfit for your hunter.
