Argument 7: Lively characters with real personality, which you shape
You create figures with backgrounds, motives, and weaknesses, not just values on a sheet. These characters develop over weeks or months. Decisions have consequences that change your characters. This creates emotional connections and genuine suspense.
You form connections, friendships, and relationships with other characters and anchor yourselves in a world created by you. You decide how your character is, what they like or dislike, what they are good at, or what quirks they have.
Argument 8: An exciting series that you write and shape yourself
D&D offers drama, humor, action, and surprising twists. Evenings often end with cliffhangers that you talk about for days. Each session feels like a new episode. The difference is that you decide how the story continues.
And you know this: In stories, there are often things you would do differently or things you don’t like. In Dungeons & Dragons, that’s in your hands, and you collectively create your characters’ stories. You can be whoever you want and let your creativity run wild.
