We took a look at which games have been at the top over the last 30 years – and then tried to describe them as poorly as possible. Let’s see how many games you can still guess.
Imagine your friends, who have never gamed before, are now totally excited about a game. Or better yet: the parents whose printer you have to set up again every few weeks because something isn’t working anymore.
Now they are telling you about a game whose name they forgot, but they think it’s really great – and use descriptions that are somehow close but still super far off.
We looked at which are the current top 100 games on Metacritic and mixed in our own assessments of various genres to find 10 games that we present to you here.

In our selection, we’ve included not only individual titles but also legendary game series as a whole. However, these are always names that every gamer should have at least heard of.
For some descriptions, a deeper lore knowledge is required, but we also want to offer a challenge to experts. Click on the card when you are sure. And be honest! Cheaters will be kicked out.
