The Rat King
With less pain, but even more anticipation, I am extremely curious to see how HBO will implement the encounter with the probably most intense infected I have seen in The Last of Us so far – the Rat King.
The level is one of the worst areas of the game: dark, confusing, full of infected, and on top of that, this creature is waiting in the basement. The Rat King is a massive infected that consists of several infected fused together into a huge rotting ball of limbs, mouths, and mushrooms – and I love it.
The Rat King is an absolute ammunition sponge, can break through walls, and can kill Abby instantly as soon as it gets its hands on her. A truly terrifying and stressful moment of the game, whose implementation in the series can be very interesting.
What will it look like? Will it be made up of many actors or CGI? How will the hunt look? This will probably and hopefully be one of the most intense moments of the second season.
Having been convinced by the first season of the series, I am optimistic that they will not mess up the second season either. I am extremely curious about the implementation of the mentioned scenes, but also, of course, the beautiful moments of the story: Ellie and Dina, life in Jackson, and the flashbacks with Joel. But we have to be a little more patient.
