Superman is from DC, why is he on this list?
That’s a good question, but between 2003 and 2004 there was a crossover event JLA/Avengers (issues 1 and 3) and Avengers/JLA (issues 2 and 4). In the event, heroes from both universes interacted.
Thanks to the villain Krona, the two teams had to compete against each other, but in the finale, they fought together. Against Krona’s army, it looked grim until Thor tossed Superman his hammer. Together with Mjölnir (and Captain America’s shield), the Kryptonian cut through the enemies and won. (Source: Screen Rant).
Interestingly, Superman cannot lift the hammer after the fight anymore. Thor explains to him that even unworthy beings can use Mjölnir in difficult situations. Apparently, Superman is not really worthy. He probably still lacks something that Squirrel Girl has.
