9. David Harbour – Breakthrough at 42
David Harbour was born on April 10, 1974. He started his acting career in 1999 on Broadway. Initially, he worked in theaters and received a Tony Award nomination in 2005 for his role in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?.
Although he concurrently received small roles in films and series, the big breakthrough did not come – until Netflix appeared with Stranger Things in 2016. By then, the name David Harbour was also in everyone’s mouth internationally.

10. Liam Neeson – Breakthrough at 38
Liam Neeson was born in 1952. After some theater roles, the actor first landed a supporting role in the film Excalibur in 1981.
His Hollywood breakthrough came with Darkman in 1990. Three years later, the actor reached the top of his career ladder with Schindler’s List by Steven Spielberg and established himself in the industry. Later, he took on major action projects like The A-Team, Taken, or Non-Stop.
