3. Jon Hamm – Breakthrough at 36
Jonathan Daniel Hamm, known as Jon Hamm, was born on March 10, 1971. In 1995, he headed to Los Angeles with just $150 as a starting budget.
There, he initially did not receive any roles until he finally had his first appearances in Providence and Space Cowboys in 2000.
Hamm had his major breakthrough only seven years later with his leading role in the series Mad Men.

4. Alan Rickman – Breakthrough at 42
Alan Rickman, born on February 21, 1946 († January 2016), was best known to most as Professor Snape in the Harry Potter films.
At the beginning of his career, the actor appeared in several television formats and in theater. However, it was only in 1988 that he achieved his big international breakthrough at the age of 42, with his role as the villain Hans Gruber in the first film of the action series Die Hard (1988).
When his role as the nasty Sheriff of Nottingham in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves followed, Alan Rickman had established himself as an actor of typical villains in Hollywood.
