The surprise hit Remnant: From the Ashes has received a major update. This introduces the Adventure Mode, which brings an important feature.
What does the update bring? In addition to bug fixes and some balancing adjustments to weapons and enemies, the Adventure Mode is the highlight. This mode is exactly what the fans of Remnant: From the Ashes have been waiting for.
The Adventure Mode is here
What is the Adventure Mode? In the new mode, you can have the worlds in the game, such as Earth, Rhom, and Yaesha, generated randomly and again and again. And this is done without losing your progress. You create this world, fight through it, and defeat the boss enemy. If you want to experience the world again, but in a different way, you simply have it generated anew in this mode.
This means that each visit to one of the worlds is different and interesting. Essentially, this mode represents the endgame of the game, which is why it is so important.
Why is this so important? Until now, the worlds in the surprise success Remnant: From the Ashes were also generated randomly, but they could not be changed anymore in your campaign. So once you created your world, it was fixed for you.
If you wanted to visit new, randomly generated worlds, you had to create everything anew, which also meant losing your progress.
Now, using the Adventure Mode, you can visit always new versions of the worlds within your existing campaign while keeping your campaign progress.
How do you activate the Adventure Mode? You select the Adventure Mode at the “World Stone” in Ward 13 under “World Settings”. You then choose one of the worlds you want to have generated randomly. Then you dive cooperatively into the adventure.
Players are excited
How does the update affect player numbers? Since the release on September 13, player numbers have risen again. About 12,000 players were simultaneously active in the cooperative shooter over the weekend. That is almost as many as at launch on August 20.
What do the players think about it? Of course, one can argue about small things like some adjustments to items or balancing changes, but especially the Adventure Mode is very well received by the players. This is what many have been waiting for. Because many believe that this greatly increases the replay value of Remnant: From the Ashes. Whether that is really the case will be seen.
Also, the fact that progress is retained is something that players feel very positively about.
Fans praise the developers who listen to player feedback and implement it so quickly. Since the developers of the shooter have already announced further content like new worlds, many are now very excited to see what the future holds for Remnant: From the Ashes.
