The YouTube streamer Darren “IShowSpeed” Watkins Jr. is live as viewers bring down a bridge just to see him.
The YouTube streamer IShowSpeed is one of the most polarizing content creators of our time. The just 20-year-old became famous on YouTube for his exaggerated reactions that entertain his community. A donation of 1.60 Euros and the mispronounced name of Cristiano Ronaldo were the key to his breakthrough.
In his following streams, he executed stunts, such as barking at a 6-year-old or sexually insulting women.
He also once got his young fans so hyped that they rushed at him, forcing him to run away.
So it’s no surprise that he has similar people to himself in his own audience. They were so excited to see their favorite streamer during a livestream that they brought down a bridge.
“We need to help them!”
How was the bridge brought down? In a stream clip on Reddit, IShowSpeed is seen trying to ride a jetski on a body of water. From a distance, he sees his viewers gathering on a kind of bridge to get a better view of the streamer.
Under the weight of the large crowd, mainly children and teenagers, the bridge collapses, and the first people stand ankle-deep in water. IShowSpeed then calls out: “We need to help them!” and heads towards the sinking bridge on the jetski.
However, IShowSpeed’s drive towards his fans does not improve the situation; on the contrary, it worsens it. Seeing the chance to see their star up close or perhaps even touch him encourages the young viewers to stay on the sinking bridge, shout his name, and reach out their hands towards him.
The streamer high-fives some of his fans, encouraging others to come closer, risking getting wet even more.
