The gaming YouTuber Mark “Markiplier” Fischbach (33) apparently has his fans completely under control. For the promise of opening an account on the platform OnlyFans and posting tasteful nude pictures there, his fans do everything. They even listen to him. Now he has surpassed Joe Rogan on Spotify with his podcast. But he wants more.
How does Markiplier entice the fans? The 33-year-old gaming YouTuber is extremely popular. People love watching him get scared in horror games.
In a YouTube video from October 17, Markiplier promised fans that he would open an account on OnlyFans and post “tasteful nude pictures” there. He intends to donate the money he earns to a good cause.
However, Markiplier attached 3 conditions to this:
- people would have to make his podcast “Distractible” number 1 on Spotify
- the podcast must also become number 1 on Apple
- also, fans should raise a second, smaller podcast, “GO! My Favorite Sports Team” to number 1 in sports podcasts

Did it work? As Markiplier reveals in a new video, his plan was two-thirds successful: indeed, fans were able to temporarily raise his podcast “Distractible” past Joe Rogan to number 1 on the Spotify podcast chart – even the sports podcast worked.
But his listeners apparently do not like Apple that much, as he remains at number 6 there.
However, Markiplier is not deterred by this. He emphasizes that people have crushed his goal in record time. He repeatedly states how impressed he is that his fans have made it possible for him to surpass Joe Rogan.
Markiplier wants to prevent his mother’s disappointment at all costs
This is now his demand: Markiplier states in a video that he takes back the Apple podcast part, but now demands his fans to watch a documentary that goes live on November 14.
In the video documentary “Markiplier from North Korea,” he travels to North Korea with his mother to trace his roots. He gives reasons why the documentary is moving and important but admits that his viewers do not care; they just want to see him naked. He says:
You want the OnlyFans – I know that. […] Watch the documentary about my mother. If you don’t do it, you will not only not get the OnlyFans, but you will also ensure that my mother is disappointed. She is already disappointed in me. Do you really want her to be disappointed in you too?
Markiplier says: He thought it through well. He is willing to sell his body to support his mother. Pride means nothing in the face of disgrace. And he has decided that it is worth hurting his pride by posting on OnlyFans if it means he avoids the disgrace of nobody watching his mother’s documentary.
