Baldur’s Gate 3 as a funny sitcom? How well that works is proven by a user on X who has quickly created an intro for it.
The origin characters from Baldur’s Gate 3 have quickly won the hearts of most players. Whether you embody them yourself or have them as NPC companions in the group and try to start a romance with them – they have interesting stories and are simply entertaining personalities.
Some fans therefore find it easy to imagine the crew from Baldur’s Gate 3 in a completely different setting – for example, in a sitcom.
The X user Sho took the effort to overlay various sequences from Baldur’s Gate with the intro music of the sitcom “FRIENDS” – and it works surprisingly well:
Even the makers of Larian like this idea. Michael Douse, the Director of Publishing at Larian Studios, reacted on X (formerly Twitter) and jokingly said about this Friends idea:
I can’t believe they datamined our original opening cinematic.
In another post he added “fantastic work”.
In fact, it is quite easy to imagine the colorful origin characters in a sitcom. After all, they are all quite different personalities, and it takes little imagination to picture Karlach bursting into a room in a clichéd way, or the arrogant Astarion, who always throws in his dark comments from the background.
Such a series can be easily imagined, as the voice actors of the origin characters are always up for some fun. Recently, they played a round of D&D together or lent their voice to confess to a wife that her husband cheated on her.
