On March 25, 2025, Patch 7.2 for Final Fantasy XIV will be released and will bring many new contents. However, with the update, the possibility to obtain the most popular shop item for free will also disappear.
What item is it? The item in question is a Phial of Fantasia. With it, you can fundamentally change your character’s appearance – not just hair, hair color, or makeup. But also race, body size, face, and more.
Every player receives a free Fantasia upon starting with a new character. At the release of 7.0 and the graphic update, another free one was given away. Those who want more Fantasia must purchase the item for 7 Euros in the official online store of the MMORPG.

A free item – completely effortless
How to get the Fantasia for free? In fact, not much needs to be done for the free Fantasia: A teleport to Gridania is enough. The destination is the Apkallu Falls in Old Gridania.
To get there quickly, you can teleport to Mih Khetto’s Amphitheater. Alternatively, you can port to the Spear Guild.
At the falls, the NPC Wandering Moogle
awaits at X 10.7 and Y 6.4. When speaking with the Moogle, you will receive a Phial of Fantasia for a character change.
Important: The Fantasia can only be obtained until the implementation of Patch 7.2.
What do we already know about 7.2? Patch 7.2 is set to arrive on March 25, 2025. At least the first part. Players must wait a while longer for some of the most exciting contents. Here is what you can expect among other things:
