The egg pool in Pokémon GO changed in April 2019. Diligent players are already reporting what they have hatched. We show you the highlights of the changes.
This is what Niantic changed: In an announcement, the developers explained that they will change the Pokémon in the eggs. Now it has happened, and the changes seem to be quite significant.
So far, significant changes have been reported in every egg pool except for the 7 km eggs. Many rare Pokémon are found in eggs, or many Pokémon that can also be shiny.
The highlights of the egg changes
Where do the information come from? On Reddit , many players have already reported about the new eggs. It can still be that some Pokémon have not yet hatched. A complete list is therefore not available yet.
As soon as a complete list is to be written, we will update our egg list. Here we will first show you confirmed highlights.
This is now in the 2 km eggs: The 2 km eggs finally allow you to hatch baby Pokémon again! These Pokémon have only been included in 7 km eggs for a long time. Now you can get the following babies from 2 km eggs:
- Pichu
- Swablu
- Togepi
- Mime Jr.
Other babies could also be included, but have not yet been confirmed.
Besides the babies, there are also numerous possible shinies in the eggs. These include Makuhita, Wailmer, Shuppet, Machop, and Spoink.
This is now in the 5 km eggs: These eggs also contain numerous baby Pokémon. So far, the following have been confirmed:
- Magby
- Elekid
- Roggenrola
- Shuckle
- Qwilfish
In addition to the babies, you will also find rare possible shinies like Sandshrew, Magnemite, or Kabuto here. Additionally, there are still numerous Pokémon that are not very useful, such as Sunkern or Pansage.
This is now in the 7 km eggs: So far, there have been no confirmed changes to these eggs. You can still find all baby Pokémon and several Alolan Pokémon here. A detailed count can be found in our egg list.
This is now in the 10 km eggs: The biggest highlight in the 10 km eggs is probably Lapras. Many players are currently searching for the Lapras quest and the shiny of the Pokémon. You can also find it in the eggs now. Recently, Lapras was no longer in any eggs, so the return is now celebrated.
In addition to Lapras, you can also find Nincada in the 10 km eggs. This Pokémon has only been available during special events, which is why many trainers lack it. Now you have a chance in the purple eggs.
Additionally, you will still find Pokémon like Absol, Shuppet, Dratini, or Turtwig here. Some players also report seeing Sableye in the 10 km eggs.
