It is no wonder that the community is quite disappointed with this decision. After all, a visit to the Horseman without a chance for the mount makes little sense.
The Headless Horseman in the Hallow’s End of WoW now scales with player level. But this doesn’t mean that Twinks can obtain the mount…
The Hallow’s End in World of Warcraft is one of the oldest events in Azeroth. The Forsaken celebrate their “birthday” here, and the hostilities between both factions are suspended so that heroes can instead vandalize the capitals with stink bombs.
The event also includes regular attacks from the Headless Horseman, a mysterious adversary from the Scarlet Monastery.
In 2017, the Headless Horseman scales for the first time with player level. This means that players do not have to reach the maximum level of 110 to defeat him. Characters can sign up for a fight against the Horseman starting at level 23.
The coveted reins of the Horseman – Not below level 100!
The most desirable loot from the rhyming villain is The Reins of the Horseman – the mount of the Headless Horseman. These reins have been in the game for nearly 10 years but have such a low drop chance that many players still do not possess them.
As the event has now also been unlocked for low-level characters, expectations were high. More characters meant more chances for the mount!
… or at least one would think so. Now Blizzard has announced on Twitter that the Reins of the Horseman can only be found in the epic reward chest. This is only available to characters who have reached at least level 100.
So anyone who thought they had additional chances for the mount with their Twinks in the level range of 23-99 will be bitterly disappointed. Such characters only receive a blue reward chest for the kill, which can only contain other event goodies (such as the broom or masks).
It is no wonder that the community is quite disappointed with this decision. After all, a visit to the Horseman without a chance for the mount makes little sense.
