On January 31, 2024, Version 4.4 “Majestic Dragons in the Spring Breeze” launched in Genshin Impact with new banners and characters. Here you will find all the important information about the new version summarized.
When did Version 4.4 release? The update to the new version went live on January 30, 2024, at 11:00 PM. It is now available.
As compensation for the server downtime and bug fixes, 600x Primogems are now waiting for you in your mailbox.

These are the new contents of Version 4.4 in Genshin Impact
What new characters are there in Version 4.4? Adeptus Xianyun/Cloud Retainer and Wushou Dancer Gaming come as new playable characters.
- Xianyun is an Anemo character and uses a catalyst
- Gaming is a Pyro character and wields a claymore

What banners are there in Version 4.4? The first phase will run from the beginning of the update until February 20, 2024, at 5:59 PM, and will include these special banners:
- “Crane Silhouette Amidst the Clouds”: featuring Xianyun as a 5-star character; Noelle, Faruzan, and Gaming as 4-star characters
- “Enlightenment of the Modgrass”: featuring Nahida as a 5-star character; Noelle, Faruzan, and Gaming as 4-star characters
- “Divine Work” with “Catalyst – Echoing Call of the Crane” and “Catalyst – Flowing Dreams of a Thousand Nights”; several 4-star weapons
In the 2nd phase, Xiao (Anemo and polearm) and Yae Miko (Electro and catalyst) will have their reruns.
A small note: Currently, there is an online event called “Adeptus Mechanical Marvel” about Xianyun, where you can secure Primogems among other rewards.

What else is there in Version 4.4? With the new version, a new legend quest featuring Xianyun will be available. Additionally, Version 4.4 introduces a new Liyue area called Chenyu Valley and a cat-like boss.
