The streamer Félix “xQc” Lengyel publicly revealed in a stream how much he earned in a single day on Twitch. With that amount, the content creator can afford quite a bit, but these earnings aren’t his only source of income.
How much did xQc earn in a day on Twitch? In a past stream (highlight on YouTube), the streamer xQc showed how much he would earn on a “bad day,” as he puts it, on Twitch. He then demonstrated the 15th of December 2021, on which he earned $45,860, equivalent to €39,200 on Twitch through advertising revenue.
It is important to note: This is a sum before taxes. Nevertheless, it’s still considerable income for a day.
This translates to about 71 PS5 consoles at a price of €550 each, which xQc could afford on that day. The number would be even higher on a “good day.”
xQc reacts to streamer colleague who has disabled donations on Twitch
Why does xQc show his earnings? In his stream, xQc reacted to the YouTube video by MoistCr1TiKaL. He announced a few days ago that he would disable the option for viewers to gift him money.
The action received some criticism, but MoistCr1TiKaL stated that he would not re-enable the donation options and publicly revealed how much he has earned in his career as a content creator. Overall, it was over $40 million, roughly €34 million.
MoistCr1TiKaL’s main reason for disabling donations: He prefers that people save their money during these tough times instead of gifting it to him.
He also emphasized that none of the top streamers need the gifted money from viewers to continue their profession. Something that xQc also agreed with in his reaction to the video: “I said that [in the past] too!” (Source: YouTube starting at 01:45).
xQc himself likely does not depend on donations or subscriptions from his viewers either.
How much does the streamer xQc earn? The revenue from advertisements on Twitch is not the only source of income for xQc or streamers in general. It is supplemented by sponsorship deals and exclusive contracts with platforms.
xQc likely earned most of his wealth from an exclusive contract with the streaming platform Kick. In 2023, the competition to Twitch secured xQc for $100 million exclusively on their platform.
At the same time, xQc criticized the Twitch industry in his reaction. In his opinion, after the Twitch leak regarding the earnings of the largest streamers on the platform, many are only focused on money. In the past, people streamed for fun, but now many are just fixated on the cash.
