Free Games in May 2017 / Xbox One and Xbox 360
In May, there are also four free games, two of which are designated for Xbox One and two for Xbox 360. Thanks to the backward compatibility of the One, you can also play the 360 titles there.
Xbox One
- Giana Sisters – Twisted Dreams (Directors Cut): Free from May 1 to 31. Giana Sisters is a platformer with colorful worlds and effects. The game has a certain retro element, as the first part of the series was already released in 1987 for the Amiga. But enough of the memories, back to the present. In Twisted Dreams, you need to regularly switch between two fantasy worlds to fight nasty enemies and solve puzzles. The frequent switching of worlds works smoothly and has no negative impact on the gameplay. You switch between the cute Giana, who has a Whirl Attack, and Punk Giana, who has a Hammer Jump, to complete the various levels and tasks.
- Lara Croft and the Temple of the Osiris: Free from May 16 to June 15. This part of the “Lara Croft” series is the successor to Guardian of Light and features a cooperative mode for up to four players. You find yourself deep in the Egyptian desert. To defeat the evil god Seth, you must team up with rival treasure hunter Carter Bell. Together, you need to collect the fragments of Osiris to stop Seth from enslaving humanity.

Xbox 360
- Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II: Free from May 1 to 15. In this part of the Star Wars series, you continue the adventure of Starkiller to influence the key elements between Star Wars Episode III and Episode IV. With a nasty “Mind Trick,” you can confuse opponents and make them fight against their allies. For more power, you can wield two lightsabers and win epic boss battles.
- Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga: Free from May 16 to 31. Continuing with Star Wars – just a little “different.” In Lego Star Wars Complete Saga, you play all six Star Wars movies in a Lego-styled video game. You solve puzzles with special building strategies and can choose from over 120 playable characters. Those who want to try it out with friends can use the dual co-op mode to work together on tasks and puzzles.
In the video, the individual titles are briefly presented. This gives you a visual impression of the games.
