In April 2017, Gold members can download these free games for Xbox One and Xbox 360.
As a subscriber to the Xbox Games with Gold service, you get free games every month that you can download and play. Thanks to backward compatibility, Xbox One players can also play games from the older Xbox 360. In March, there were crazy co-op adventures with Borderlands 2 and terrifying moments in the horror game Layers of Fear.
In April, in addition to adventures with the undead, you’ll also get a part of the Assassin’s Creed games from Ubisoft.
The free games in April 2017
For Gold members, there are again two games for Xbox One and two for Xbox 360 in April.
Xbox One
- Ryse: Son of Rome – Free from April 1 to April 30, 2017. “The Roman Empire is in chaos. Take on the role of the soldier Marius Titus and embark on a perilous journey to avenge the death of your family and defend the honor of Rome. Fight in Gladiator mode in the Colosseum and try to win the favor of the audience.”
- The Walking Dead – Season 2 – Free from April 16 to May 15, 2017. “In this five-part game series about choices and their consequences, you can play as Clementine, meet new survivors, explore new places, and make tough decisions.”
Xbox 360
- Darksiders – Free from April 1 to April 15, 2017. “Fight against the most terrible monstrosities of hell with your supernatural abilities. Destroy your enemies by unleashing incredible powers in your Chaos form.”
- Assassin’s Creed: Revelations – Free from April 16 to April 30, 2017. “The master assassin Ezio Auditore follows in the footsteps of his legendary ancestor Altaïr and embarks on a journey full of discoveries and revelations. It is a dangerous path – one that will lead Ezio all the way to Constantinople, to the heart of the Ottoman Empire, where a growing Order of Templars threatens to destabilize the entire region.”
