Free Xbox Live Gold and Game Pass – Here’s how: Xbox Live Gold and Game Pass Ultimate both cost money. However, not everyone wants to spend money on it, so Microsoft has developed “Microsoft Rewards,” which allows you to get both services for free. The system works like this:
- You invest your time, not your money
- You participate in surveys or quizzes
- Complete achievements in trending games or seasons
- As a reward for your time, you receive special points
- With these points, you can then “purchase” rewards
These rewards also include the Xbox Live Gold membership and the Game Pass Ultimate. To ensure you have enough points accumulated by the end of the month, you must use two of the three methods listed by us. We will show you how they work.
Collecting points through your Xbox
What do I have to do? To collect points with your Xbox, you only need to complete tasks for the Xbox Rewards app. This is pre-installed on your console and looks like a symbol, a medal with a blue ribbon.
The tasks vary and prompt you either to play a game or unlock achievements. Should you also purchase games or DLC in the meantime, you might be lucky enough to earn some points as well. You will get an overview of these quests when you start the app and access the overview. The points range from 5 to 4000, depending on the task and effort.
Collecting points through Bing and Edge – PC
What do I have to do? You can access Microsoft Bing or Edge on your console, PC, or phone and log in there. Once you have linked your Microsoft account, you only need to click on all the listed news items. Each news item gives you 3 points for your rewards account.
Additionally, you can participate in quizzes or surveys. To do this, simply click on your point balance, and you will be automatically redirected to the rewards page. You will find it under your overview. If you complete these daily, you will receive a loyalty bonus in points, provided you are diligent and do not skip a day.
Collecting points through your phone
What do I have to do? On your phone, whether iOS or Android, you can download the “Microsoft Game Pass” app. With it, you have access to the “Microsoft Rewards” page, just like on your console.
Additionally, you can also access Bing and Edge on your phone and generate points by clicking on news and participating in quizzes. Essentially, this is the more mobile version of the two methods mentioned above.
How many points do I need for Xbox Live Gold and Game Pass? The costs of both service offers are not cheap.
- 1 month of Xbox Live Gold costs 7,000 points
- 3 months of Xbox Live Gold costs 21,000 points
- 1 month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate costs 14,000 points
- 3 months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate costs 42,000 points
If you are diligent and collect at least 500 points every month, you will be automatically upgraded to points level 2. With this, the price of the individual rewards is reduced, and you will earn even more points for the tasks you complete.
However, keep in mind that your points will expire after 18 months if you do not spend or earn more.
