What is WWE2K20? It is the latest installment of the popular wrestling series from 2K Games. In the role of well-known wrestlers, you face off against opponents and try to defeat them with the coolest moves possible and entertain the audience.
Unlike its predecessors, the game was not developed by Yuke’s, but by Visual Concepts.
Things went seriously wrong
How is the game being received? WWE2K20 is currently being widely discussed. However, not because it’s so good, but because the bugs make the game one of the funniest titles of the year.
The technical problems could not be fully resolved before the release on October 22, and this is evident in the matches.
What are the issues? There are plenty of glitches that are simply hilarious:
- The wrestlers sometimes have no faces, only eyes and mouth are visible.
- Characters get stuck on barriers and take forever to get back into the ring, while the commentator continues to cheer on the “exciting” match.
- The wrestlers can tangle in the ropes and get stuck there forever while bouncing around wildly.
- The game characters can get stuck in animations, causing them to continue fighting while crouching.
- The referee gets pulled into the fight, which seems a bit odd in matches between female wrestlers.
- The athletes hang in the air and float over the ring.
Players don’t know whether to laugh or cry
How are players reacting? One should actually be upset about receiving such a buggy game at full price. But the bugs and glitches are so funny that some can only laugh about it.

However, there are also those who feel cheated. Especially for fans of the series, the new installment is a disaster. There were indications before the release that the WWE 2K20 Originals mode would be included and that you could play as “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt. But neither of these is the case.

On Twitter, #fixwwe20k is currently trending as the community demands quick patches. Because as funny as many of the glitches are, the wrestling game is simply unplayable. The fans are justifiably upset about it.
