Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is a new, challenging soulslike from China. As in most games, players wonder if they can install mods. MeinMMO explains everything you need to know about it.
Can you install mods? For Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, there are already some mods that you can install. The best place for that is Nexus Mods, a platform where users provide their mods for download.
So far (as of 26.07.2025), there are 45 mods on the platform for the new soulslike. These include not only mods that adjust gameplay or game aspects but also visual packs that make adjustments to the UI or playable character. Due to performance issues at launch, there are also some mods designed to help with that.
The respective mods usually also have instructions on how to install them properly. Most use the Wuchang Mod Enabler (via Nexus Mods), which is supposed to help you with that.
However, keep in mind that mods always come with a certain risk. Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is a singleplayer game, but installing mods always carries the risk of damaging your save file, the entire game, or even something on your PC. Keep that in mind when deciding on mods.

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers actually had a pretty good launch on Steam. The game managed to reach over 130,000 players on Steam simultaneously.
