City raids in WoW are for wimps. Real “checkers” take down a faction boss solo!
If you want to gather PvP achievements in World of Warcraft, you cannot avoid visiting the capitals of the opposing faction. There, you have to extinguish the life lights of the respective leaders of the races, because only then will you get a cool war bear as a mount. Usually, such “city raids” consist of 40 or more players who quickly storm into the enemy city and fight the respective leader. Normally, the mayhem should be over before any enemy even notices.
But obviously, those are “old times” – because today, you do such things solo!
Like the warrior with the telling name Swagstallion, who simply penetrated alone into the blood elf city of Silvermoon. There, he took on Lor’themar Theron, the regent of the blood elves.
In a fight lasting just over 47 minutes, he defeated the leader of the Sin’dorei. He used the battle drums (which function as battle frenzy/heroes) 3 times. Even the additional adds of the fight respawned halfway through.
But not a single horde player could be persuaded to assist the regent lord.
Especially the leader of the blood elves has it particularly tough. Silvermoon is literally “in the middle of nowhere” in Azeroth. Up in the north of Lordaeron, hardly any player lingers, as Silvermoon no longer offers a particularly appealing city, nor does it contain any special vendors that would make the journey worthwhile. Only roleplayers sometimes wander there – but precisely for the reason that no one else is hanging around.
What was your most powerful boss that you took down solo?
There is now a final statement from Blizzard regarding flying on Argus.
