The developers of the new WoW expansion Battle for Azeroth are talking about a start date for the beta. We reveal when the beta launch for Battle for Azeroth could be.
About a week ago, the next expansion for Blizzard’s MMORPG was revealed. World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth takes players into the “new old” conflict between Alliance and Horde, who fight for supremacy at sea while completely laying waste to major cities.
After the first gameplay trailer and the opening cinematic were presented at BlizzCon, one question quickly arose: When can you play Battle for Azeroth? When does the beta start?
Since there were already plenty of showcase zones and even a playable demo on site at BlizzCon, many fans assumed that the beta would start in 2017 – around Christmas. But that Christmas wish will likely go unfulfilled (or fall into the snow).
Battle for Azeroth Beta comes “early in 2018”
In an interview with WoWChakra, the developers of WoW discussed the future plans for Battle for Azeroth.
According to them, the beta for Battle for Azeroth is set to begin “early in 2018” – likely in the first quarter of the new year.
Release date Battle for Azeroth? In 2018
There is still no release date for Battle for Azeroth. The developers have only stated their plan to release the expansion “in 2018” – but anything else would have been surprising.
Are you excited for the Battle for Azeroth beta? Or would you rather not be spoiled and wait for the official launch?
