The 10th expansion of World of Warcraft is live. The early access for The War Within has begun.
The era of Dragonflight is officially over, as the starting pistol for the new expansion of World of Warcraft has fired – The War Within. Numerous players are already storming through the new intro scenario around the defense of Dalaran and are heading into the new areas to reach level 80 and master the hero talents.
Are the servers holding up? At the current moment, things look good, and most active characters have already ventured into the expanses of The War Within. However, when logging into your realm, there may be queues depending on how busy your realm is.
What can you play in Early Access? In Early Access, the story features of The War Within are already unlocked. This means that players can experience the complete main story and side quests, reach level 80, and experiment with the hero talents. Is there an advantage in Early Access? Yes, but only a small one. Essentially, Early Access is designed for players to experience the story at a relaxed pace without having to rush. Strong equipment is not yet available, as almost all content – even heroic dungeons – is still locked and will only open after the official release of the expansion. Therefore, the advantage gained in Early Access is extremely small.
When can the rest play? Those who did not purchase the Epic Edition of The War Within, but only the Base or Heroic Edition, can start playing from August 27, 2024, which is next Tuesday. Then the official launch of the expansion will take place, and more content will be unlocked. However, there is no need to rush, as the first season of The War Within with raids and Mythic+ starts on September 11, 2024. There is plenty of time left to enjoy the story.
