After the Alliance was driven out of Boralus, they are planning a counterattack by airstrike. A funny story from the war mode of World of Warcraft.
In the war mode of World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth, PvP is the order of the day. There are frequently small skirmishes during world quests or entire raid groups colliding in the cities. This also recently happened in the war mode in the city of Boralus. The Horde had gathered and captured the outskirts of the city with a raid. But the Alliance rallied for a counterattack.
Why could all players glide? The entire raid was equipped with Goblin Gliders that engineers can create. These provide a solid substitute until flying in Kul Tiras and Zandalar is possible. With the gliders, large distances can be covered, as long as a high launch point is found.
Horde caught off guard: The previously confident Horde was visibly taken by surprise and was overwhelmed by the rain of Alliance members. Just under 60 seconds later, no Horde player remained in Boralus, and the Alliance could celebrate their successful airstrike.
Cooler without flying mounts: Some players also say that actions like these are only so cool because flying in Kul Tiras and Boralus is not yet possible. Otherwise, attackers and defenders could simply fly into or out of the city, which would have made the whole action only half as interesting.
The war mode is already ensuring that players have many great memories of their PvP experiences and that there are numerous situations to look back on even in a few years.
What was your funniest action that you have experienced in the war mode of World of Warcraft?
