Original report: The race for the World First Kill of Queen Azshara in the mythic version of the Eternal Palace is currently captivating a large part of the World of Warcraft player base. Although there has been much criticism from the professionals regarding the fight against the Naga leader, the race itself is as exciting as it has ever been before. The European guild Method and the American guild Limit are in a tight race, and both are on the verge of the kill.
Here’s how far the professional guilds are: Method had its best attempt on Azshara during the 328th pull. They brought the queen of the Naga down to 5.1% of her health before an explosion wiped out a large part of the raid, leading to a wipe seconds later. Here is Method’s best attempt so far:
Limit, on the other hand, has already spent more time on Azshara and currently has over 490 pulls logged. Their best attempt is currently at 12.9% of the queen’s remaining health.
The other guilds, such as Pieces, Alpha, or Aversion, are lagging behind. They are all around 40% – 50% of remaining health and are still struggling with the phase transition.
When will the First Kill come? Probably during today’s course. Method will resume raiding in a few hours, and it is expected that they will overcome the last barrier and finally defeat Azshara. Of course, that is not guaranteed, but just yesterday Method improved by about 45%. However, Limit could also claim victory with every pull now.
Here’s how you can watch: Anyone who doesn’t want to miss the (probably) last pulls should keep an eye on the streams of Method and Limit (Red Bull).
It is indeed a neck-and-neck race, and both guilds could secure victory at any time.
