The community of World of Warcraft has solved another puzzle. We reveal to you how to get the cool belt “Waist of Time”.
The numerous players from the “Secret Finding” Discord server for World of Warcraft have been busy again. After all, there are many puzzles in Battle for Azeroth that can only be solved through teamwork. It has now been discovered how to obtain a very special cosmetic belt. In our guide, we tell you how to get the belt Waist of Time.
Step-by-Step Guide for the Puzzle Belt Waist of Time
Please note: Before you can tackle this puzzle, you must have fully completed the previous puzzle about Baa’l. Only if you have obtained Baa’l can you begin the puzzle about the Waist of Time. You can find the guide for that here:
Essentially, this puzzle is about clicking on a series of items in the correct order that are scattered throughout the game world. To find the correct locations directly, a coordinate addon, such as MapCoords, is worthwhile, which you can download here on Curse.

Step 1: Spires of Arak
The journey begins in the Spires of Arak in Draenor. Head to the coordinates 35 / 32. In a small vase lies a glowing orb that you need to click.
Step 2: Stormwind
Travel further to the Elwynn Forest towards Stormwind. Above the city, there is the portal with many plants. When you open the map of Elwynn, the red seed is located at the coordinates 17 / 56, hidden in the bushes.
Step 3: Spires of Arak
Back in the Spires of Arak, you must go to the coordinates 53 / 11. Here you need to dive into the lake and you can find a small frog on a stone underwater that also needs to be clicked.
Step 4: Hellfire Peninsula
Now head into the shattered world to the Hellfire Peninsula. At the coordinates 34 / 58, next to an Apexis crystal lies a small bone, which is the objective of this journey.
Step 5: Spires of Arak
Once again, you need to go to the Spires of Arak. This time head to the coordinates 68 / 41. Next to the Arakkoa, you will find a lit ritual candle. Next to it lies another candle that you can click.
Step 6: Shadowmoon Valley (Draenor)
Travel further north into the Shadowmoon Valley. The objective is at 46 / 26, right next to the campfire. Click the small cup and this step is also completed.
Step 7: Shadowmoon Valley (Shattered World)
Now switch to the shattered world and travel there to the Shadowmoon Valley. Go to the coordinates 52 / 44, right at the top of the Fel Volcano. Here you need to click a small stone that is difficult to see due to the many fire effects.
Step 8: Swamps of Sorrows
Back to Azeroth and head to the Swamps of Sorrows. At 58 / 32, you will find a flower growing in the water under a tree. Click on it and continue!
Step 9: Eastern Plaguelands
The next step leads to the Eastern Plaguelands to the coordinates 24 / 78. You need to enter the crypt and push all the way down. There lies a small flower on a coffin that needs to be clicked.
Step 10: Deadwind Pass
Continue on to the Deadwind Pass (where Karazhan is located). At the coordinates 41 / 79, there is a small chapel. In the front of the chapel, one of the books on the floor is clickable.
Step 11: Blackrock Mountain
Now head to Blackrock Mountain (Burning Steppes) and go to the portal of the Lower Blackrock Spire. In a small room next to the portal is a campfire with a dead fish lying nearby. Click on it.
Step 12: Duskwood
Off to Duskwood to the coordinates 52 / 62. Here you will find the dilapidated remains of a house. Under a large wooden beam lies a smaller wooden board that you need to click.
Step 13: Hillsbrad Foothills
The journey continues further north to the Hillsbrad Foothills. Go to the coordinates 47 / 26. Here you enter the large building and as soon as you enter, look to the left. Inside the skeleton lies a small ring that you need to click.
Step 14: Wastelands
Next, you travel to the Wastelands to the eastern coast. At the coordinates 90 / 38, which is inside the inn, you will find a rotten apple behind the pig, which you – who would have thought – also need to click.
Step 15: Blasted Lands
Back in the south, you head to the Blasted Lands. At the Altar of Storms, at the coordinates 37 / 28, you can find a small broken tooth directly at the large skull. Click it and continue your journey.
Step 16: Burning Steppes
You must return to the Burning Steppes to the coordinates 27 / 47. Among old bones and remains lies a small helmet, which is on the skeleton of its owner.
Step 17: Dalaran (Northrend)
Now it’s off to Northrend, to the old Dalaran. Find the statue of Antonidas (43 /20) and look behind the benches. On the green floor, hard to see, there is a small leaf that you need to click.
Step 18: Terokkar Forest
The next step leads to the shattered world in the Terokkar Forest. Travel to Auchindoun and open the gate that leads to the Shadow Labyrinth – but do not enter the dungeon. At the coordinates 40 / 72, in a tent inside a wooden box, lies a piece of fabric that you need to click.
Step 19: Shadowmoon Valley
Now travel to the Shadowmoon Valley and near the entrance to the dungeon Grim Batol. At the coordinates 17 / 58, you will find a small fence in front of which lies a stone tablet, which is the target of this journey.
Step 20: Feralas
Now, head to Feralas to the ogre camps. At the coordinates 61 / 68, there is a small wooden torch protruding from the ground. Be careful, it is hard to see. Click it and this step is also completed.
Step 21: Preparation
For the next step, you need to visit a tailor or search the auction house for the corresponding items. You need these four equipment items all in unusual (green) quality. If an item “procs” and becomes rare (blue) during crafting, it is not usable!
- Windwool Hood (Windwool Hood)
- Deathsilk Shoulders (Deathsilk Shoulders)
- Netherweave Tunic (Netherweave Tunic)
- Frostwoven Leggings (Frostwoven Leggings)
Once you have gathered all these items, continue.
Step 22: Grimm in Arathi Highlands
Now travel to the Arathi Highlands to the eastern coast of the area. In the house at the coordinates 85 / 73, you will find the NPC Grimm. Next to him on the table is a note that you need to click.
After reading the note, you must equip the four items from Step 21. Now talk to Grimm and ask him to reveal some secrets to you.
Then a new note will appear, which you also need to click – the list of his enemies.
Step 23: Shopping List
Now you need to obtain four “gray” items that you must have in your inventory to complete the next step.
- Proximo’s Rudius (Proximo’s Rudius)
- Rough Wooden Staff (Rough Wooden Staff)
- Punctured Pelt (Punctured Pelt)
- Formula: Enchant Ring – Striking (Formula: Enchant Ring – Striking)
All these items can be bought from vendors.
Proximo’s Rudius is only available from Aldraan (Alliance) or Coreiel (Horde) in Nagrand. The two vendors are located in Halaa when your faction controls the city. If not, you must conquer it first. Defeat all 15 guards and then take the city at the flag in the middle.
The Rough Wooden Staff can be obtained from numerous vendors in the world. The easiest to buy is from Jang Featherpaw, a pandaren in the inscription shop of Dalaran (Legion).
The Punctured Pelt is sold by only one vendor, namely the Vendor of the Aspens in the Grizzly Hills. He is located at the coordinates 35 / 55.
The Formula: Enchant Ring – Striking can be obtained in the old Karazhan raid from the vendor Ythyar. He is an Astral that is relatively high up in the tower. On the map, he is located at the “Upper Library” in the far north.
With all the items in your inventory, you now need to seek out Grimm’s enemies and apply an emote to them.
Step 24: Grimm’s Revenge – Aquinastrasz
Travel to the Shadowmoon Valley to the coordinates 28 / 24. There you will find the flight master Aquinastrasz. Target him and use the “/Slap” emote.
Step 25: Grimm’s Revenge – Karnum Marshwalker
Karnum Marshwalker can be found in Desolace, centrally in the middle. He stands at the coordinates 57 / 48. Target him and use the “/wave” emote.
Step 26: Grimm’s Revenge – Noggra
Noggra can be found in Zul’drak, also relatively centrally in the zone, at the Argent Crusade’s camp. He stands at the coordinates 40 / 69 and this step is considered complete when you target him and perform a “/cheer” emote.
Step 27: Grimm’s Revenge – Dirty Jug
The last NPC “Dirty Jug” can be found in the Kun-lai Summit in Pandaria. He is at the coordinates 44 / 90, right below the flight point on the ground floor of the wall. Target him and perform a “/dance” emote.
Step 28: Return to Grimm
Now travel back to Grimm in the Arathi Highlands. When you enter his home and speak to him, he should have a new dialog option indicating that you have delivered a message to his enemies.
A new note appears, right at the campfire, revealing Grimm’s favorite recipe.
Step 29: The Potato
Now leave Grimm’s house and head to the fields surrounding the house. At the coordinates 88 / 69, you can discover a potato on the ground. Pay close attention to the ground, as it is difficult to spot. When you click on the potato, you will receive a debuff.
You need to stack this debuff exactly 144 times.
Once you have the required stacks, return to Grimm’s house. As soon as you enter the house, you should receive another two-minute buff indicating that you are “Marked”.
Step 30: The Waist of Time
Now time is of the essence. Leave the house again and go directly around the house. On the small hill behind the house lies a chest that you can only see while you have the buff active. Click the chest, open it, and – voila! This is how easily you have obtained the awesome belt “Waist of Time”.
The name of the belt is by the way a little provocation. Because “Waist of Time” sounds quite similar to “Waste of Time”. In English, it is “Waist of Time” as a reference to “Waste of Time” – pure waste of time.
