The WoW guild Limit is hard at work on the final boss N’Zoth and wondered about a secret second phase. Now it has become clear: It doesn’t exist.
The last few days do not reflect well on the boss design of N’Zoth, the final enemy of the Ny’alotha raid – it’s extremely difficult. In mythic mode, the big professional guilds of World of Warcraft have been racing for the First Kill for days, but things are not going smoothly at all.
Now it has come out: The second “secret phase” that Limit was puzzling over does not exist at all. This was communicated to them via email.
What has happened? The US guild Limit was ahead in the race for the “World First” of N’Zoth. While Method was still struggling with the first phases of the fight, Limit was already reliably reaching the first secret phase of the fight and managing it multiple times. Subsequently, the boss fight continues and at 25% a portal to the Heart Chamber opens again.
Limit desperately tried to enter the chamber and find out what has to be done there this time – but it just didn’t work.
Now it was clarified in an email to Limit: There is no further secret phase. The guild leader of Limit amused himself about it on Twitter.
It appears to be an error that the portal became accessible again. Players should not have been able to enter or interact with it.
Previously, Limit had also found a nasty bug.
What should Limit do instead? Instead of entering a portal at 25% remaining health of N’Zoth again, Limit “only” needs to bring the boss down to 0% health. Exactly when the fight ends is still not entirely clear, but it could be just over 0%. Currently (01:15 AM), Limit’s best attempt is at 16.3% remaining health of N’Zoth.
Players are disappointed, mock Blizzard: Viewers of the stream and also comments in forums and on Reddit are mocking Blizzard. N’Zoth is a huge disappointment and this bug, which promised more excitement, would fit perfectly in. Power200 describes it particularly bitterly, saying:
This is literally the biggest disappointment of the entire expansion.
This was then corrected by cassetto, who says:

Even though the streams of Limit and Method shine with viewer numbers between 10,000 and 60,000, the community is rather disappointed with this last boss fight, although this race is exciting this time.
